My name is Amanda Esplugues. I am a visual artist specializing in the creation of fantastical creatures... for me, these creatures represent the very essence of nature and life...

Each creature holds a powerful symbolism that inspires us and also carries mystical and transformative messages for those who know how to listen with their hearts... Guardians are creatures of a loving and beautiful presence. From dragons, amazing alchemical creatures present in most of the planet's traditions and cultures, to fairies, unicorns, griffins, and countless other creatures, both known and unknown, that have accompanied humanity throughout history...

A little more about me:

I live in a small town near the mountains in Valencia, Spain.

I'm married and a mother of two children (2021 and 2024), and I'm also an adventure partner of four cats and two dogs!

My hobbies, besides art, are sports, especially CrossFit. I also love hiking and occasionally climb...(although I go a bit seasonally)

If you're familiar with Human Design, I'm reflector, and I've never felt like I fit in anywhere...

I've spent many years trying to find my place and exploring many different fields. In addition to illustration and 2D animation, I've also studied natural nutrition, life coaching and emotional management, positive psychology, and even raw vegan cooking! I've read many books on personal and spiritual development and finally felt aligned with the work of the Dr. David R.Hawkins 🪷

After all that exploration and hundreds of existential crises, I realized I couldn't live without art and that what I enjoy most, mysteriously, is creating fantastic creatures and anything related to nature. I love exploring different forms of expression, and I don't care about the medium, format, or technique; I just want to have fun and enjoy the process, aligning myself with my needs at all times...

After these last few years of intense learning, I decided, in early 2025, that I was going to focus on my artistic career. So, I reopened my @ulksyart account on Instagram after being deactivated for almost three years and I started sharing my art again! And not only that, I decided that my art was going to be my livelihood and that I could achieve it! So, I'm in the process of making my dream a reality despite the limited time I can dedicate to it right now, given that I'm raising my two beautiful babies.

This commitment is not only for me, to prove to myself that I can make a living from my art, but also for the infinite love I have for my family and for all the artists and dreamers who may be drawn to and inspired by my art and learn something from me...

May art expand our hearts and fill the world with beauty!
